Job Summary

Responsible for increasing sales by bringing in corporate/private/venue/event catering orders and executing them.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop new customers, while maintaining existing sales within assigned customers and a given sales region.

  • Sell food, drinks food ingredients, and food services to businesses and individuals
  • Sell food to corporates, caterers, event planners, individuals etc.
  • Develop a daily/weekly call list and maintain information accuracy monthly.
  • Review daily sales reports.
  • Review monthly the best monitoring sales report with management to determine if goals and objectives are being met.
  • Communicate trends/pricing issues and other unique issues as it relates to sales.
  • Develop new markets and accounts by utilizing the current relationships and building new relationships in the food service channel.
  • Participate in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows, and telemarketing events.
  • Coordinate shipping schedules and delivery of merchandise and services.
  • Analyze region and monitor performance results, daily call reports, and weekly work plans.
  • Communicating effectively with clients, staff, and third-party vendors.
  • Catering expenses and accurate records will be kept and organized by the catering manager.
  • Adhere and facilities the needs of the food and health industry safety regulation and standards.
  • The catering manager will research and keep up with catering trends to promote competitive catering services.

Sales/Catering Representative Requirements:

  • The catering manager is required to have finished an accredited course in Catering Management, or similar.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Culinary Arts, or Business Management is preferred.
  • A catering manager needs to have obtained 3-5 years of experience as a Catering Manager or work experience in a similar industry.
  • Needs substantial or expert knowledge of electronic catering management systems. Better Cater and Caterease experience is desired.
  • Proficiency, ability to meet deadlines and complete the job within budget in required.
  • Prior experience and knowledge of the processes for hiring, training, and overseeing catering staff is required.
  • Advanced or expert knowledge of the best catering management practices is required.
  • The ideal candidate needs to have excellent communication and a personable demeanor.
